Adjustable dumbbells for progressive home strength training
A single Stealth pair replaces multiple fixed dumbbells while retaining small, predictable weight changes. Core progresses in 2kg increments from 2kg to 40kg. Black and Chrome use 1.5kg increments from 4kg, giving you finer control over progressive overload for presses, rows, squats, lunges, curls and accessory exercises.
Chrome Gen 6 is the most flexible route if you want to begin at 23.5kg and add capacity later. Its adjustable base and drop-in upgrade system let you move to 32.5kg and then 41.5kg without replacing the original dumbbells. You can also choose a complete 41.5kg Chrome Gen 6 pair if you already know you need the full range.

Adjustable dumbbell FAQs
Which Stealth adjustable dumbbells are best?
Core is the value-led choice for a complete 2-40kg range. Black is the premium choice for refined operation, durability and direct access to replacement parts. Chrome Gen 6 is best if you want all-metal plates and the option to start at 23.5kg before upgrading to 32.5kg or 41.5kg.
How much weight do I need for a home gym?
Many beginners can train effectively with up to 23.5kg per dumbbell, particularly for curls, shoulder work and higher-repetition training. A 32.5kg or 40kg range gives more room for rows, squats and presses. Experienced lifters or anyone planning long-term progression may prefer up to 41.5kg.
Can Chrome Gen 6 adjustable dumbbells be upgraded?
Yes. Start with the 4-23.5kg Chrome Gen 6 pair, add the 23.5kg to 32.5kg upgrade package, and later add the 32.5kg to 41.5kg package. Each package adds six 1.5kg settings per dumbbell. The upgrades are tool-free and use the improved adjustable Generation 6 base.
Can Black Edition adjustable dumbbells be upgraded later?
No. Black Edition is purchased at the required maximum weight of 23.5kg, 32.5kg or 41.5kg. If staged expansion is important, Chrome Gen 6 is the more suitable route.
Are replacement parts available?
Yes. Black Edition components are available directly through the genuine replacement parts page. Chrome components and upgrade packages are also supported. Core replacement parts are available by contacting Stealth Support so we can confirm the correct part.
Are the dumbbells supplied as a pair?
Yes. The main Core, Black and Chrome Gen 6 options on this collection are sold as pairs unless a product page clearly states otherwise. Each pair includes the appropriate storage bases.
Can adjustable dumbbells be dropped?
Selector dumbbells contain moving components and should be returned to their bases under control. They are intended for normal strength training, not repeated drops or throws. Controlled use and correct racking help protect the selector and plate system.
