Stealth vs NÜOBELL Adjustable Dumbbells: UK Comparison
For most UK home gyms, Stealth is the stronger overall choice. The Stealth adjustable dumbbell range gives you several distinct routes, with current options spanning 2kg to 41.5kg per dumbbell, finer 1.5kg progression through Chrome and Black, an upgradeable Chrome system, serviceable designs and UK-based support.
The forthcoming Stealth Block is planned to extend that choice to 60kg per dumbbell while adding substantially greater impact resistance. It should not be treated as a currently available model, but it shows how much further the Stealth range is designed to go.
NÜOBELL remains a credible option, however, Stealth provides the better overall range, more ways to progress and a clearer long-term ownership system.
Stealth vs NÜOBELL at a glance
This comparison uses product information checked on 26 October 2026. The Stealth Block is clearly marked as forthcoming because its final specification and availability must be confirmed at launch.

Which has the better weight range?
Stealth has the better overall weight range because it gives you meaningful choices from 2kg to 41.5kg today, with a forthcoming route to 60kg.
NÜOBELL starts at 2kg and reaches 32kg across 16 settings. That is a useful span, but the system stops at 32kg.
Stealth Core matches NÜOBELL at the 2kg minimum and continues to 40kg across 20 settings. If light warm-ups and isolation exercises matter, Core provides the same starting point while also giving you 8kg more capacity per dumbbell.
Stealth Chrome and Stealth Black start at 4kg, but both provide smaller 1.5kg jumps and can reach 41.5kg per dumbbell. That gives stronger lifters a higher ceiling and gives every user more closely spaced opportunities to progress.
The forthcoming Stealth Block is planned to raise the maximum to 60kg per dumbbell. This means Stealth is not limited to one fixed range. You can choose the starting weight, increment size, construction and maximum capacity that fit your training.
Why do the smaller Stealth increments matter?
NÜOBELL and Stealth Core both move in 2kg steps. Chrome and Black move in smaller 1.5kg increments.
A difference of 0.5kg may sound small, but it changes the percentage increase between settings. It is particularly useful for lateral raises, curls, triceps work, shoulder pressing and other exercises where a 2kg increase per hand can be a large jump.
Chrome and Black therefore provide a more gradual progression route than NÜOBELL. At 41.5kg, they offer 26 selectable weights per dumbbell compared with NÜOBELL's 16 settings up to 32kg.
Which is faster to adjust?
Both NÜOBELL and the current Stealth adjustable dumbbells use fast selection systems. The weight is chosen while the dumbbell is seated correctly in its base, so neither requires loose plates, collars or manual loading between exercises.
Chrome Gen 6 adds an optimised selector system and an adjustable base. NÜOBELL also uses a polished twist-to-select mechanism. Without a controlled timed comparison, it would be misleading to claim a universal speed winner.
The more important Stealth advantage is what happens after the selection: you have more capacity choices, finer progression through Chrome and Black, official Chrome upgrades and a stronger repair and support route.
Which system is upgradeable?
Stealth Chrome has the clear advantage for staged progression.
You can begin with Chrome Gen 6 at 23.5kg per dumbbell. The 23.5kg to 32.5kg upgrade package adds six further settings. The later 32.5kg to 41.5kg upgrade package adds another six.
This takes the same system from 14 settings at 23.5kg to 20 settings at 32.5kg and 26 settings at 41.5kg. You can increase the capacity when your strength and training demands justify it, rather than replacing the complete pair.
The NÜOBELL UK product listing checked for this comparison does not state an equivalent staged capacity-upgrade route. Its 2kg to 32kg format is purchased as a complete system.
Stealth Core and Black are also purchased at their complete capacity. Black is available as separate 23.5kg, 32.5kg and 41.5kg models, while Core provides its full 2kg to 40kg range from the start.
Which is more repairable?
Stealth is built around continued ownership, not treating the complete dumbbell as disposable. The range is supported by a UK team, a repair service and model-specific replacement-part routes.
- Black Edition: replacement parts are available directly through the store's genuine replacement parts route.
- Core Edition: replacement components are available by contacting Stealth Support.
- Chrome Edition: replacement parts are available directly through the store, with repair assistance available through Stealth Support.
Stealth adjustable dumbbells include a 24-month parts warranty, with an optional lifetime warranty upgrade available subject to its terms.
NÜOBELL's UK listing states a two-year warranty for home use. It does not present the same visible staged upgrade system or model-specific UK parts and repair route shown across the Stealth range. Availability for any particular NÜOBELL repair should therefore be confirmed with its retailer.
Construction and training feel
Chrome Gen 6 uses rigid all-metal weight plates and a 34mm knurled chrome handle. It is the Stealth choice for lifters who value the feel, sound and longevity of metal plates alongside an upgradeable system.
Black Edition uses machined steel weight plates, a 34mm handle and the tightest manufacturing tolerances in the Stealth range. It is the strongest current choice for someone who wants the highest-quality complete Stealth system rather than staged capacity upgrades.
Core Edition prioritises value and range. Its 2kg to 40kg specification makes it a practical route for beginners, shared home gyms and buyers who want a lower starting weight without sacrificing maximum capacity.
NÜOBELL combines steel and plastic in a conventional-looking adjustable dumbbell with portable cradles. It is compact and refined, but its official UK listing states that it is not designed to be dropped.
What if you need more weight and greater impact resistance?
The forthcoming Stealth Block is being developed to solve two limitations commonly associated with adjustable dumbbells: maximum capacity and vulnerability to heavy impact.
The planned block-shaped system will reach up to 60kg per dumbbell, use a magnetic selector pin and provide greater resistance to impact. It has been designed to survive a full-weight drop from more than one metre. Production-facility testing has reached drops from up to two metres, and the design has also undergone independent drop testing.
The product is still forthcoming, so final specifications and availability must be checked at launch. Current Chrome, Black and Core models should not be described as drop-proof and should be handled according to their product guidance.
Which adjustable dumbbells should you choose?
Choose NÜOBELL if you want:

Final verdict: Stealth or NÜOBELL?
Stealth is the better overall adjustable dumbbell range for most UK buyers. Core matches NÜOBELL's 2kg starting weight and reaches 40kg. Chrome and Black provide smaller 1.5kg jumps and reach 41.5kg. Chrome adds a genuine upgrade path, while the wider range is backed by serviceable designs, replacement-part routes and UK support.
NÜOBELL remains a sound choice if its exact 2kg to 32kg format is all you need. The limitation is that you are choosing one weight range, one increment size and no stated staged capacity-upgrade route.
Stealth gives you more choice at the beginning and more room to progress afterwards. The forthcoming 60kg Stealth Block will extend that advantage for heavy lifters and people who prioritise greater impact resistance.
